Vogalonga 2026

Thank you for your interest in using our dragon boats for the 2026 Vogalonga.

Boat types

Our dragon boats are single hull Champion, BUK or Swift 12/22 (standard) boats. All boats are kept in very good condition.

Location

Our Club, and the pickup/drop-off point of the boats is the Sports Centre 'Costantino Reyer' at Sant'Alvise, Cannaregio 3163 (located near the waterbus stop). The sports centre has change rooms, shower and toilet facilities, small lockers and dedicated areas where larger items such as paddle bags, backpacks and luggage can be left. While these areas are kept under surveillance by our staff, no responsibility is taken by us or the Sports Centre for any lost or missing items.

There are very few clubs that can offer the quality of boats and facilities at such a short distance from the start area of the Vogalonga and as such, our boats are booked up very quickly.

The 2026 Vogalonga should most likely be held on Sunday 24 May (Pentecost Sunday).

Costs

Should you be interested in participating, for the use of our Club's dragon boats and equipment for the event, the costs are as follows:

  • A deposit, which is refunded if there are no damages or missing items on return from the Vogalonga(to be paid immediately upon confirmation of request).
  • A contribution for the use of the standard dragon boat, from 07:00 to 15:00 on Sunday 24 May 2026. The contribution includes the use of paddles (TNP model) and lifejackets, as well as the use of the change room and shower facilities at the Sports Centre. PVC flagpoles are also available.
  • The registration to the Vogalonga should be made by you. In 2025 the amount was Euro 28 per participant. We do not know if this will change for 2026. The registration for this event can be done at www.vogalonga.com, however they will not be open until about a month before the event. Let us know if you need any assistance for this.
  • If you require the services of one of our steerers, a contribution is required and should be paid together with the final payment.

To reserve the boat we require a deposit to be paid immediately (this includes the caution amount). The outstanding, and eventual amount for hired steerer, can be paid up to one month before the Vogalonga (by 23/04/2026).

The boat will be reserved once payment has been received and a confirmation email has been sent to you. Should more than one payment arrive on the same day from more crews, the date and time of accreditation of the payment will be taken into account with preference given to the accreditation received first.

On the morning of the Vogalonga, the boats will be handed over completely clean and ready.

In order to avoid delays during the embarkation on the morning of the Vogalonga, crews will accept whichever of the above boat types are available at the pontoon and ready for boarding.

Once they are returned, at the end of the Vogalonga, they should be cleaned of all rubbish and water. If we need to clean your boats, depending on the state of the boat, the cost of cleaning will be withheld from the caution amount.

Should you have any change of plans and cannot attend the event but have already paid the first amount, a total refund will be given up to 31/12/2025. Should communication arrive after this date, the caution amount will be retained.

The above amount does not include:

- costs of registration for the Vogalonga,
